Florida Tai Kai 2008 - Home

The US Federation of Batto Do is pleased to announce that the 8th Annual Florida (formerly Orlando) Tai Kai is scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 28, 29 and March 1, 2008. This year's Tai Kai will held in Palm Bay, on Florida's Space Coast. The beaches are close by, and the Orlando attractions and Kennedy Space Center are only a short drive.

A list of seminars and Tai Kai events is included on the registration form available on the Registration page. Reminder: Tai Kai Registration Closes February 22nd. A $50 late fee will be applied to registrations received after that date.

Batto Dan Rank Testing Added to the Calendar
Embu Announced: Friday Evening from 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Embu will include demonstrations of kata, kumitachi, & tamishigiri by top American and Japanese Sensei's representing Mugai Ryu, Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, Nakamura Ryu, & Toyama Ryu. Spectator Fee: $5; Tai Kai Competitors: Free
Tai Kai Spectator Fee will be $10.

Who Should Come?

The Seminars and Competition are open to all members of the US Federation of Batto Do and practitioners of
recognized Japanese sword styles. Please note that some seminars will be open only to Federation members.

Please contact the Tai Kai Director with questions regarding eligibility.

Spectators are welcome - $5 admission (embu); $10 admission (Tai Kai).
